Two Books Out!

Well, I've finally got off my ass and published some new content. The Lifer Player's Guide, entitled Weapons for Life just went up. I also put up a shorter pay-what-you-want PDF riffing pretty strongly on an old comic called Camelot 3000.

From the sales text on both:

Weapons For Life
Weapons For Life is a follow-up to Culture of Choice, detailing everything you need to create Lifer characters for the Otherverse America Campaign Setting. Weapons of Life is a ground-up rebuilding of the Lifer Nation, detailing their unique and often blood-soaked talents and feats, making this unique, military sci-fi setting fully compatible with the PFRPG.

Included are full racial descriptions for the five most common non-human species found among the Lifer Army of God: the genetically engineered child soldiers called CFL Kids, the predatory, cyberhunting Nanofeasters, the disturbing undead Neverborn, the engimatic and manipulative Temporal Angels and the space-adapted Wrench.  Each of these new races is compatible with Dreamscarred Press' Ultimate Psionics.

After the races are described, you'll discover a host of Lifer-specific templates that allow you to build exactly the character you envision, whether as a protaganist or a villian. Dozens of new feats and talents offer futher customizaton, while grounding your character firmly in the hatred that defines the AOG.

The final section of the sourcebook describes the most unique ‘weapons for life’ in the service of the Lifer Army of God. Here you’ll find spectacular and thematic Lifer spells like In This Sign, Conquer, which manifests an enormous, skyscraper sized cross to terrify and demoralize your enemies. You’ll also find lethal magic weapons, like the Skullpopper SMG or the bizarre but effective Teething Ring. All these spells and items assume that ‘magic’ is a relatively new phenomenon, explained away by the 22nd Century science of Object Philosophies.

Content Warning
This sourcebook details a fictional version of real world anti-aborton terrorist groups like Operation Rescue and the Army of God. Since Weapons for Life is the Lifer Nation's player's guide, it describes things from their point of view, meaning that many of the powers and character options are pretty nasty. The author does not share their views, condone their hatred or encourage anyone to do the same. Because of the subject, even though the book has no explict sexual content, I've tagged it with the 'adults only' filter.

The Reincarnated Knights of the Round Table
As with many of my sourcebooks, this one started with a chance purchase in a used book store: a nice, recolored, hardback anniversary edition of Camelot 3000 (DC Comics). Re-reading this classic graphic novel gave me an idea for a short book that takes some of the mechanics I’ve created for use in my campaign worlds: especially the Reincarnate feat, and other feats designed for Culture of Choice and craft a player race as fun as the science-fantasy adventure of Camelot 3000. This book makes an interesting companion to the recently released Weapons of Old, since many of those magic items are drawn from the same tales that inspired this PDF.

Reincarnated Knights are designed as a flavorful counterpart to Culture of Choice’s Pagan Born. Like the Pagan Born, Reincarnated Knights are skillful and somewhat otherworldly adventurers, with the Knights distinguishing themselves with a penchant for heavy armor and a chivalrous devotion to the heroic myth of Christianity. This PDF includes details on Reincarnated Knights, as well as a new Cavalier order: The Order of the Grail, inspired by Arthurian lore and literature.

Since this is a rough, somewhat unfocused title I put out on a whim between larger projects, it's pay what you want. If you like what you see, let me know in the comments and I might expand this into a full release with additional options and a mini-campaign.

Take a look, and let me know your opinions on both.
Furries coming later in the week,
CHRIS
